Kelly McConnan Wiltshire

Kelly McConnan Wiltshire is a Registered Psychologist located in Edmonton, Alberta. She is trained as a generalist - able to work with a wide range of ages and mental health concerns.
Kelly works predominantly with children, adolescents and adults. She is a Certified Play Therapist with the Canadian Association of Play therapy.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, she worked as a junior high and high school teacher and counsellor. From her previous experiences, she has an interest in helping individuals with learning disorders, ADHD, and school struggles, as well as anxiety and mood challenges.
Kelly offers both in-person and telehealth (video/phone) sessions to individuals in Alberta.

Trained as a generalist, Kelly is able to work with a wide variety of mental health concerns and ages. The primary importance is a strong connection with focus on client-driven goals and evidence-based approaches to help each individual make sustainable change.

Adolescent Individual Psychotherapy
Adolescence can be a particularly challenging time with a lot of life changes and social pressures. Kelly believes in helping support adolescents to increase their autonomy, self-advocacy, and using supports effectively to work towards life-long mental health.
Kelly has training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Skills (DBT SKills), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to work with adolescents in ways that support their unique personality, styles, and concerns.

Play Therapy
Play therapy is a unique therapy, evidence-based method for working with children who are experiencing a wide-range of mental health concerns.
Kelly is a Certified Play Therapist with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. She has advanced training, supervised practice, and follows ethical play therapy practices. She uses an integrative model of play therapy to support children in a variety of ways. This allows children to be the leaders of their therapy - whether they choose to talk directly about the concerns, or indirectly through play. It also allows Kelly to work in-the-moment with children on strategies to support change.
